Quality leather watch bands made from Shell Cordovan or Chromexcel are spendy. This is a about the cheapest full grain watch band you can easily make or buy.
Originally this was a mere leather bracelet from Six Shooter Leather, an Etsy store. It happened to be 22mm wide and a perfect fit for my wrist. You can select different sizes for you large wrist people.
The intrinsic security problem with the single snap is my next thought to improve. If the snap pops off then the watch goes flying to the ground. Not good. The next iteration of this design is going to have some sort of clasp that won’t come apart. Breaking your expensive watch because you skimped on the band would be a stupid mistake. More updates coming…
This leather feels good on the wrist.
I really like the single leather strip design instead of the more complicated nato and zulu designs. It lends itself to a slimmer design as opposed to the bulk that a five ring zulu can have.
Style wise I think a darker brown would be more suitable for a black faced watch, but you work with what you have.
What do you think? Any ideas for improvement?
