- We do not accept payment for product reviews.
- We maintain complete editorial control of product reviews.
- We do not return reviewed items because returning an item in new condition would not enable us to fully judge and test the functionality and durability of a product. It is necessary that no limitations are put on the use of the product.
- We have many products to review so turn around can be up to eight weeks. While a review may not be published quickly, we guarantee it will be published thoroughly.
- Items that are sent without prior communication will not be reviewed.

BestLeather.org does not charge for product reviews. We obtain income from banner advertising, affiliate relationships, and a percentage from the items sold in our store.
Do you write negative reviews?
In short, yes. BestLeather.org will never compromise the truth regarding the performance of a product. We do not encounter a great number of poor quality products because we focus our efforts on the best items the industry has to offer. We would rather focus on the great leather goods than the crummy leather goods. Thankfully we are experiencing a resurgence of interest in leatherworking and good products are plentiful.

I’ve had products reviewed by TJ and his team for the past 2 years, and I have to say that bestleather.org has proved to be a tremendous tool in our developmental process. As I grew my business, I would get a plethora of critiques and suggestions that sometimes were valid, sometimes were not, but it was hard to validate them as I often would surmise that the critics had not compared our products to others nor knew what exactly went into design.
